The 2nd Street Bistro was opened by chef Brian Menges in the Historic Murray Hotel at the heart of downtown Livingston in the spring of 2004. The Bistro is rooted simply in the belief that great food and wine make life more pleasurable. We are committed to providing locally sourced cuisine and wonderful wines.

Since the Second Street Bistro opened its doors in 2004, we’ve worked hard to distinguish ourselves as a restaurant in this small community. Over the past several years, we’ve found our niche and defined a goal: we are committed to supporting the local economy and sustainable products. Whenever possible, we support the unique community of Livingston, Montana, comprised of independent farmers, ranchers, artists and professionals. If we can’t find something locally, the next best that we can do is to seek out sustainable producers.

The 2nd Street Bistro combines the techniques of classic French cooking with locally sourced Montana lamb, pork, beef, chicken and produce. We pride ourselves on making everything from scratch from baguettes to croissants to crème brulee. We offer a wide selection of wonderful appetizers, eclectic salads, great steaks, chops, seafood and amazing desserts.
